    About Suni Teker

I have had a life long passion for working with others. Upon graduating from college, I worked for several years at Crisis Intervention Services in Medford, Oregon managing TeenLine, a crisis hotline for teens. I then worked as an advocate at Dunn House, a shelter for women and children escaping domestic violence. Upon graduating from Portland State University’s graduate social work program, I worked on the Child Team at Jackson County Mental Health in Medford, Oregon for 3 years. In 2002, I joined the Child and Family Psychiatric Center in Medford and worked as a therapist until 2014. In 2014, I joined Kim Grynick, LPC to form Siskiyou Therapy in Ashland, Oregon to provide comprehensive counseling for the whole family. As with everyone, the pandemic shifted things: Kim decided to build a home office and I continue to work at the same location offering Telehealth and in person counseling.

In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my husband and daughter and our two cats. I also enjoy hiking, camping and visiting the beautiful Oregon coast.
